Bishop Willie
McGrady and wife Olivia

1 Tim.
3:1 ¶This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth
a good work.
His primary
oversight and the deacon leading that ministry:

Why he desires
the office of a bishop:
“I
desire the office of a bishop because so that God may use my talents, skills,
and abilities to do his glory. Ultimately, he will lead to what we have been
called to do in Matthew 28:19, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”
Shepherd’s
Favorite Expression:
“It’s
been a great day!”
Shepherd’s
2011 Charge to the Flock:
“We
have a rare opportunity to expand God’s flock. There are few ‘churches of
Christ’ that can say we have been serving God for 66 years – the last 46 in the
same location. God is preparing us for something much bigger than we are able
to see right now. All I can say is that as for me and my house – we will serve
the Lord. Joshua 24:14-16. ”
