Angel Food Ministries |
Angel Food Ministries (AFM) is a non-profit,
non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to
people in the United States. As a host site for AFM, Hillcrest provides
groceries by the box at $25.00 a unit. Each month's menu consists of
both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of a $60. One
box of food can feed a family of four for about a week or a single
person for almost a month. The food is all of the same high quality one
would purchase at a grocery store - not damaged or outdated goods. There
is no limit to the number of boxes a person can purchase and there are
no applications or qualifications. To order, download an order form

Benevolence |
The Benevolence Ministry may assist members facing
short-term financial crisis with monetary support and crisis management
counseling. We do not provide financial assistance for non-members but
extend help through two food programs. |
|
The Benevolence Ministry operates two programs to help
eliminate hunger in our community and offset the cost of food for those
in financial crisis or managing a tight budget. The
Feeding
Hands/Feeding Hearts Food Pantry provides free non-perishable food
items to those who have need. As a host church for
Angel Food
Ministries, Hillcrest is able to provide grocery relief and savings
on food. |

Bible Study |
The Education Ministry provides age-appropriate
Biblically based teaching every Sunday at
8:45 AM and every Wednesday at
7:00 PM. Personal Bible Studies are available as
well as other classes. |

Buildings/ Facilities |
The Buildings and Facilities ministry manages the upkeep
and functionality of the Hillcrest campus which includes a church
building, family life center, acres of undeveloped land, parking lots,
and play spaces. The facilities are primarily used for worship, the work
of ministries, and community outreach. Facilities may be contracted for
private use by members of the church and the community for specific
functions. |

Cell Groups |
Hillcrest Cell Groups serve as care teams that help
members build close and meaningful relationships. The small groups
participate in study and fellowship. Also, they respond to life events
that may include birthdays, weddings, homegoings and sickness. |

Children's Church |
Children's Church allows toddlers through elementary aged
children to worship in an environment uniquely designed for them. The
Jeremiah
Ministry
provides a safe environment that models the love of God to children,
infants to 4 years of age. Jeremiah Ministry is active during Sunday
worship services and Wednesday night Bible Study. Bible principles and
character building traits are introduced in the program. Children's
Bible Hour was developed to share age appropriate Bible knowledge to 5-7
year olds and teach children how to participate in corporate worship
assemblies. The class is held at 10 AM during worship and models the
structure of worship service. |

Choral Groups |
Hillcrest choral groups lift up praises to God, teach,
edify and encourage people through song. The
Hillcrest Singers
is a premiere acapella chorus that perform throughout the United
States. They have produced three outstanding CDs.
Blessed with Harmony,
a smaller ensemble, use their voices to edify and bless others,
particularly those in nursing homes and women's shelters.
NChrist
seeks to encourage men to take an active role in leadership and ministry
through song. They evangelize to the sick and shut-in, youth in
detention centers and during other functions. |

Community
Resource Center |
The
Community Resource Center (CRC) provides valuable and practical
information, resources, and study materials in the areas of health and
wellness, education, finance, human services and spiritual growth. The
CRC is housed in the Church Library. |
|
Congregational
Fellowship |
The Congregational Fellowship Ministry creates
opportunities for members to share in fellowship and fun with each
other; and introduces others to the church through family and friends
gatherings. Annual events include July 4th and Labor Day picnics, Fall
Festival-October, Homecoming-June, New Year's Eve Program and Breakfast. |

Counseling |
The Counseling Ministry provides private
counseling sessions for individuals, couples and families. The ministry
hosts support groups and sessions to provide life issues assistance
including grief, parenting, character building, relationships and mental
health concerns. Professional staff are available to the general public
and to members. |
|
Evangelism |
While all members are called to share the good news with
the unsaved, The Evangelism Ministry supports the work of the
Church by hosting evangelism training workshops, seminars and events,
and organizing Bible studies and visitations throughout the year.

Facilities Rental |
Hillcrest facilities are primarily used for worship, the
work of ministries, and community outreach. Facilities may be
contracted for private use by members of the church and members of the

Feeding Hands/ Feeding Hearts Food Pantry |
FHFH food provides non-perishable food items and hygiene
products for anyone 18 years of age or older who has a need. The pantry
is open on the first Monday 1 - 4 pm and the 2nd Saturday 9 - 12 Noon of

First Time Visitors Ministry extends greets, meets and
conducts immediate follow-up with each guest. |

Girl Scouts |
The Hillcrest
Girl Scout Troop
provides activities for girls 7 - 17 that are wholesome, build positive
self esteem, and good character. |

Greeters |
The purpose of the Greeters Ministry is to encourage each
member and visitor by making them feel welcomed to each worship service. |
|
Health |
The Health Ministry is designed to promote good health
among members of the body; and to provide emergency medical personnel
during services and congregational events. The Health Ministry is made
up of professional health practitioners who are Hillcrest Members.

HIT Team |
Hillcrest Information Technology (H.I.T.) Team provides
support and enhancement to worship services and to other programs
through use of technology. The HIT Team provides audio, video,
photography and computer based technology services as needed.

|
H.Y.M. |
The Hillcrest Youth Ministry (H.Y.M.) incorporates
play-learning, service-learning and work-learning experiences in
programs to prepare children for a life-long relationship with God. All
activities have their foundation in solid Biblical principles and serve
to build character and purpose. H.Y.M. is a dynamic and active ministry
that involves youth in devotions, local, regional and national
conferences, bible bowls and lock-ins, community service projects, field
trips, sports, recreation and educational programs. |

H.Y.M.S. |
Hillcrest Youth Ministry Singers sing praises to the Lord
and edify others. The children ages 5 to 18 learn vocal control and
develop a a love for singing God's praises. |
|
Married Couples |
The Marriage Ministry is designed to help build strong
Christian unions where couples experience joy, fulfillment and
contentment in committed marriage relationships. The Ministry hosts
Bible Studies, interactive seminars, annual retreats and bonding
activities. |
|
Member Services |
The Member Services Ministry helps create a caring
environment that promotes accountability of and for all members. The
ministry maintains record of membership and assists leadership in
connecting to each member. |
|
Men's |
The Men's Ministry promotes fellowship and bonding among
brothers as a means to strengthen, encourage and support spiritual
growth. The Men's Ministry meets every 2nd Saturday of each month, and
hosts an annual retreat and a Mother's Day Breakfast. |
|
Netcasters |
The Netcasters Fishing Club is designed to provide
fellowship opportunities for families (members and non-members) through
fishing activities. Netcasters teach survival skills that are
applicable to everyday life and encourages good stewardship of the
natural resources God has given to us (lakes and rivers). |
|
New Members |
The role of the New Members Ministry is to quickly
integrate new members into the body of Christ worshiping at Hillcrest.
The Ministry encourages active participation in worship and the work of
the church. |
|
Prayer |
The Prayer Ministry is comprised of faithful and devoted
members who diligently intercede on behalf of general and specific needs
and requests of the church family. |
|
Seniors |
The Seniors Ministry seeks to involve Senior members in
meaningful Bible Study, and rewarding and enjoyable activities. In
addition, this group engages in monthly luncheons, outings and special
events. |
|
Single Mothers |
The Single Mothers Ministry provides a forum for single
mothers (divorced, widowed, never married and mates in military or
incarceration) to support mentor, empower, and meet the unique needs of
single mothers. The ministry seeks to empower them to be resources in
our church and community. The group meets every other quarter for Bible
Study on Sunday mornings. Other activities, workshops and events are
scheduled throughout the year. |

Singles |
The Singles Ministry mission is to empower, encourage and
strengthen the lives of single members of the body. The group strives
to be a powerful force of dedicated members who are aggressively winning
souls for Christ. |
|
Transportation |
The Transportation Ministry provides transportation to
and from Sunday morning and evening services, and Wednesday night bible
study to anyone who has need within a 25 mile radius of
1939 Snapfinger Road.
Also, transportation services are provided to members for participation
in other church related activities. |

Vacation
Bible School |
Vacation
Bible
School is a week long, full day camp that teaches God's Word and shares
the good news of Christ's love to children and teens in a fun-fill and
safe environment. Youth K-5 through 8th grade may participate. Download

Women's Ministry |
Women's Ministry activities include a bi-monthly Bible
Study, an annual Ladies Day program and a women's retreat.

Women's Task Force |
The goal of the Women's Task Force is to involve more
women in evangelistic programs and projects identified as important to
women in the Church and outreach to the community. The Task Force hosts
an annual focus groups to ascertain the needs of women members and
develops pilot programs to address concerns. |

Worship Servers |
The Worship Ministry is comprised of people who carryout
the activities of worship in a manner that is decent, in order and
pleasing to God. The Coordinators make sure appropriate persons are in
place to facilitate and serve during all worship services. Worship
Servers include ushers, song leaders, scripture readers, prayer leaders
and preparers for the Lord's supper. |
